The WT12-A is a fully integrated Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, class 2 module combining antenna, Bluetooth radio, and an on-board iWRAP Bluetooth stack. The Bluetooth standard has evolved over the years. The latest standard is Bluetooth 5. For new Bluetooth 5 designs, we recommend the latest Silicon Labs BGM Bluetooth Modules and BGX Bluetooth Modules, based on Silicon Labs EFR32BG SoCs.
